COLORED GEMSTONE ORIGIN
The Big Three + Tanzanite
Sapphires, Rubies, and Emeralds have always been at the forefront of elegance, class, and style. They have always been in demand, and a safe investment when purchased accordingly. That is why they are known as "The Big Three". Just as other colored gemstones, these three gems are mined in separate locations around the Globe.

There are many countries of origin. The countries listed here produce gemstones of the most sought after quality.
For instance, three of the highest quality and sought after Blue Sapphires currently come from three separate countries. The marketing trade terms for these Sapphires are referred to as: Ceylon, Burma, and Kashmir. The countries they are from are Sri Lanka, Myanmar (formerly Burma), and the Himalayas of the Kashmir Valley (in the same order.)

The minerals on the map are mined in more than one territory except for Tanzanite. The only Tanzanite deposits are in Tanzania. Yet, its attributes can hold its own against the big three.
